Born in Boston and now living in Lincoln

I have been painting professionally for over 20 years and have had my work shown and sold in local Gallery's

My work is Impressionist and mediums include mainly watercolour and oils. Topics are Landscape. I strive like many other artist looking for ways to show drama and mood and most important, light. Watercolour is the most challenging.

I am not afraid of using water base paints other than watercolours which will effectively show the exciting highlights that make the artwork stand out.

It still pleases me , the way watercolours blend when they run together using the wet in wet technique, and you may think you have total control, but now and then there are some happy surprises.

I use very few colours and have tried in the past with a vast palette, the painting ends up complicated and muddled.

I am quite impatient in nature and surprise myself that I have never reached a stage where I am bored, there are always new challenges, my newest painting is always the best I have done.

I am gradually trying to simplify my work and strive for fresh and dramatic effect with less brush strokes and fiddling, it is good to know when to stop.
